Just Shy of Twenty –
I’ve been digging into these for just about a week.
I’ve not even reached 20 blocks made yet.
They are kind of fiddly with the skinny neutral strip side and the not-much-wider colored strip side, but I like how they give the illusion of curves.
Someone asked if I knew what the final quilt was going to look like before I dive into something.
Usually – NO.
I just start making blocks and let things evolve. This way I’m not placing limits as to what something could actually become.
Do you do that too? Just make for the sake of making – and then see what you can do with a pile of blocks as you go through setting options in your mind?
Brainless but soul-centering paper piecing.
I think there are several quilts in yere just waiting to be sewn.
I only got a couple of hours of sewing time yesterday as my day was filled with a much needed haircut. Boy, does that feel better!
Housekeeper Susan was working her magic on the inn and will continue until mid afternoon today when the February Quiltvillians will arrive and Season Six will begin.
I’m grateful to have the distraction of a houseful of quilters.
Left alone with my thoughts, I am often breaking down into tears these days. And there is a lot of anger. And I’m trying to deal with it.
