Weekend Slowdown!

I had the best view on Saturday morning.

After the debacle with the van and the stuck-in-a-hole rear tire, and making Casden a ham and cheese omlet because “Please, BoNana?” has me bending over backwards –

Casden and I rode over to the inn in the van, while Jeff came in his pickup to start in on mowing the lawn.

That meant that Casden got to come say hello to “The Ladies” who of course offered him a full plate of brunch goodies including pancakes, fruit, banana bread and more –

After feeding Tula and Flash we settled into the QPO studio to watch a movie and he immediately asked for popcorn!!

But that was AFTER he chose a quilt to snuggle in my big recliner with –

What’s a BoNana to do?

I said we’d hold off on the popcorn for a bit, just to give the pancakes a chance to fill his hollow legs because evidently he had them.

We have officially reached bottomless pit status with my growing 4th grader!

And wile he zoned out to whatever cartoon movie was on, I got some big blocks sewn together.

They stayed until the lawn was done, it was getting hot – and they headed back home around 12:30 – with popcorn in hand for the drive home.

I love this little munchin so much!

Especially after he said “Don’t worry, BoNana – I’ll take care of you when you are too old.”

Okay, Buddy – that works for me, even if it is a long ways off yet.

Mean while next door – the makers are making!

Saturday evening down by the river with friends – It was nice to catch just a bit of a slow down –

One more motif is in the done column.

They take me 3 to 4 evenings of feet up TV watching time to make one – so it’s slow going but I’ll get there eventurally.

We are really enjoying Sullivan’s Crossing and Ransom Canyon right now. What are you currently binging?

For my own guilty pleasures – I watched Outrageous on Britbox. Fabulous. Highly recommend. 100 stars.

This morning on the porch with Ivy in my lap. She doesn’t stay long, but she purrs for the pets she gets when she allows you to give them.
Guess what’s up for today?
I got a text from Costco that my glasses are ready. YAY!
I’m headed to the inn to do some Monday morning things, and then I’ll jet over there, pick them up and hustle back for over-the-porch-rail photos this afternoon.
It’s going to be a full road trip day – but I’m so excited that it took only a week to get them made.
