TaDas & More TaDas!

TaDas & More TaDas!
TaDas & More TaDas!
Short retreats are just that –
TOO SHORT!
Too short a time to visit, to spend together –
Too short is too short for once a year!
But we made the most of it we could, even when weather felt more like October than August –
And somehow, Too short was just enough to make a whole lot of progress on projects!
TaDas & More TaDas!
Radiant star quilt – just WOW!
And the adorable chickens quilt so cute!

TaDas & More TaDas!
And here is the other Chicken quilt – Love them!
I don’t have info on the grey/yellow scrappy, so if you know please peave the info in the comments section below.

Wowza and More wowza!
The beautiful string quilt with applique on the right is Jeni’s String Garden shown by designer Jenifer Gaston of Woolen Willow Designs and the one on the right I believe is from an Accuquilt die called Flowering Snowball.

TaDas & More TaDas!
Autumn is right around the corner – the quilt on the right is a great way to show off larger prints.  The Plaited Block quilt top is also an Accuquilt die.

TaDas & More TaDas!
Supper cute, fun and scrappy!

TaDas & More TaDas!
Wednesday afternoon to Sunday morning – it went by too fast!
TaDas & More TaDas!
And there is always next August to look forward to.
TaDas & More TaDas!
My old glasses and I made it to Costco yesterday!
TaDas & More TaDas!
I am getting these two pairs!
I don’t believe in spending a fortune on fancy-pants name brand frames.  I like cute, durable, and prefer to put my money in the anti-scratch, low glare, and transitions part of things.
I wear progressive lenses.  My eyes track independently from one another. I was born with strabismus in both eyes.
I do not order glasses online. I need someone with experience to fit me, to determine where the bifocals begin and how things fit on my face.
If I wore single vision lenses with no other issues, ordering online may have saved me some, but there is no way I would do that with the eyes that I have to live with.
(There have been so many people telling me to do other things, go order somewhere else that I feel I need to say this.  Why do I have to explain this?!?)
I’m happy with the optical folks at Costco. And I will continue to use them again and again.  There are just some things that are not “self serve” to me.
At any rate. I love these both, so will enjoy them both.  They should be back to me in about 2 weeks, so hopefully before I leave for Germany/Switzerland/France in September.
We also took care of some other errands – mostly focusing on supplies for the inn (Not so exciting but needed to be done.)
A stop for Mexican food with Jeff, Ashlyn and Casden on the way home meant that I didn’t need to cook dinner.  Always a bonus.
Casden starts 4th grade TOMORROW. (!!!!)

Feet up for some stitching and watching Sullivan’s Crossing on Netflix.
One more motif in the done column, and another one started.
Today – whew.  Hitting the ground running to finish up all the Abundance PDF pattern things.
TaDas & More TaDas!
It’s nearly there, and I’m glad I had yesterday away from the computer screen so I can go over it again with fresh eyes before saving as a PDF and getting everything entered into the store for tomorrow’s pattern release and Gift-Away.
Are you ready?
I’ll be giving away 2 Abundance PDF patterns and 2 Notable Neutrals rolls from  Cotton to Quilts.
Check back tomorrow morning and get your entry in!
And yes, there will be an automatic 25% discount on the Abundance PDF pattern for a limited time.

Quiltville Quote of the Day –
If your August has been starting out like this, you know exactly what I mean!

Good luck rounding up those squirrels!
Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!
