Sunshine Through Fog –

Sunshine Through Fog -
Sunshine Through Fog -
I sat on the front porch this morning – my favorite hickory rocker, a hot cuppa in my Iceland mug in one hand.
Dawn arrived with much birdsong and the lovely Brigadoon feel of morning fog.
Oh, it will all burn away, but this is all thanks to the rain that fell yesterday afternoon and giving us much of the cool-down that we have been longing for after the past week of heat on the East Coast.

This is the light of faeries –
And I could hear the deer crunching through the woods below.  Just such a beautiful cool morning to start a brand new week.
What happened over the weekend?
Sunshine Through Fog -
A large gift bag of neutral shirt parts and pieces arrived from my friend Carrie.  I’m so excited!!
After the finish of my Open Window quilt, I was dreadfully lacking in any kind of neutral shirt string variety – so this will inspire me to keep going on the next one, whatever that one is.

Meanwhile in the quilting quarters – beautiful quilts are still happening!

I love walking in and hearing music playing over the soundbar, along with several discussions and spontaneous laughter coming from every corner!

Press. Cut. Sew. Press. Trim.
I can’t wait to show you this one…but I need to make about 6 more blocks and get things together.
There are so many wonderful projects coming up that I am getting ahead of myself!
Our next Leader & Challenge is ready for later this week. Be watching for that!
July also brings my Abbeygate PDF pattern to release time. Press those reds and neutrals and get them ready to cut!

Quilts on TV!!
I need brainless TV while I sew – things that I can “mostly listen to” instead of having to watch carefully, but you can bet that I caught these two quilts while streaming Bergerac (The 1980s version!) on Brit Box.
The show takes place on Jersey in the channel islands, somewhere I know little about and would love to visit some day.
1980s tv is pretty lame – but hey, they tried! LOL!
Still, I enjoy watching (mostly) shows with older cars, fashion, music, and older technology – no computers really, no cell phones, no having to read text messages on the screen (that I can’t read) and if there is a foreign agent, like the Russians – they speak English with a Russian accent so I don’t have to stop and read subtitles.
Perfect for quilting!

Quiltville Quote of the Day –

I wish I could blame everything on voice to text, autocorrect or the universe being off kilter.

Mostly it’s these old eyes and it sometimes takes me three times to catch the typos, weird capitalizations, and wrong there their they’re before my posts are fit for public consumption.

It’s a good thing we can still find humor in almost everything!
Last day of June – what will you do with it?
Have a marvelous Monday, everyone!
