Snow Day Sew Day Ahead!
Good morning, friends!
I’m starting off this post with a bit of studio clean up while I watch the snow fall beyond the QPO window.
Just look at these two finishes hanging off the long arm rail – it makes me smiley all over!
Old Town on the left, and Huka Falls on the right.
And yes, that’s a bucket of your gifted aqua strings behind the take up roller just barely peeking out.
I will be happily digging into your aqua scraps for a long long time and I couldn’t be happier!
My job yesterday was to get the kits ready for my upcoming Craftours trip to Australia.
This little quilt is called BLOOM!
I’ll be providing the Essex linen and the printed overlay with the embroidery design and a chenille needle.
Quilters will bring their color of embroidery floss or 12 wt thread, a thimble, a needle threader, thread snips and a hoop if they use one.
We’ll be working on the embroidery as we travel around the land down under, and they’ll be able to add their patchwork borders when they get home.
Handwork projects like this are perfect in size – easy to finish, and easy to bring along for stitching on long bus rides, plane flights or sitting around the hotel lobby and visiting after a day of out and about.
Be looking for the PDF pattern for Bloom to be available in the Quiltville Store in February.

I’ll be back after we head over to feed Tula and check on things – this will be waiting for me.
I’ll finish up doing these….
And maybe i’ll be trimming up by evening time.
I’m getting itchy to start putting some blocks together. Wouldn’t that be great to have a few of them up on the design wall so I can come home to them in a few weeks?
Quiltville Quote of the Day –
If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the sewing room as usual.
What’s up for your weekend?
