Snow Day, Sew Day!

You should give it a check! It’s so fun to see the different color plans that people are working with. These quilts are going to be off-the-charts amazing!

I made it to here!

All triangles are trimmed and de-papered – there will still be MORE yellow to come, but not yet.

I’ll be on to the next color…what is your guess that it might be?

By evening time I was ready to get away from my sewing machine and into my recliner with my feet up.

And this is where I left things – guess what will be finished TONIGHT?!?!

What you see is the remaining unquilted area on my Parade Day quilt. It won’t take long to finish it now. It will be done BEFORE Thanksgiving!

So what is going to go into the quilting hoop next? Maybe the red/neutral? I’m thinking of just cross-hatching it for something different.

That means it will take many many months to get it “finished” But it will be ready for next fall as a pattern release just in time for next year’s holiday sewing.

I’m not quite half-way done with the blocks on that one though, so it will have to wait until I get back from England to make much more progress on it. And that’s okay.

This quilt reminds me of all of the Christmas Tree trucks I see daily – pulling their tree harvest up and down these mountain roads, eventually to wind up in people’s homes to become Christmas memories.
