Pieceful Hearts Finale!
In an attempt to grab an afternoon with sunshine, in between bursts of rain, we wandered out to the porch late on a Sunday afternoon to get what over-the-porch-rail photos that we could to share all of the wonderful things made by this amazing group of ladies.
Some finished quilts were brought for beds and slept under while on retreat. (I love popping into bedrooms and seeing what is on the beds!) Some mostly finished tops were brought out in the state they were in and later finished with one more full day of retreat left to go.
There were projects in progress that would take more time, both large and small – but it’s about PROGRESS, not the finished item, right? All are worthy to be celebrated.
A favorite and washed until soft Bow Tie quilt from the bed followed by two almost completed tops (and take a good look at the bags from the bag making class!)
The top on the left I’m not sure of the name/designer. If you know, please leave it in the comments below.

The buffalo plaid table topper was from Riley Blake table topper of the month in 2022. I don’t have info on the batik sampler, but it’s beautiful! And the sampler on the far right was one that was brought to sleep under! Wowsers!
And another cute bag finish at the far right on the rail.
The Maple leave quilt top and the Hive quilt top were finished this week on retreat.

The lovely checkerboard quilt was brought for sleeping – Someone was working on this a few retreats ago and I had the pattern source then, but can’t find it. If you know – put it in the comments below!
More top finishes and I think the purple/orange/aqua is shimmering triangles or something? Help a girl out here please!
Ille has worked diligently on her woolly this week, and her stitching is incredible!
At the far right is a Confetti quilt top. it’s one of those cute cards you can pick up at the quilt shop with the quilt recipe on the back.
Whooohooo! We have a Straits of Mackinac finish from String Frenzy! This lovely quilt was brought to sleep under. It’s gorgeous!
I don’t have a source for the center quilt, but so cute!
The quilt top at the far right was finished during retreat, just in time for photo-taking. It’s called Intertwine by Elise Lea. It’s available free on the Robert Kaufman website.

And while over-the-porch rail photos may have been taken, that didn’t stop the quilters from starting NEW projects!
I walked in to find this one taking over the design wall space and turning the corner…oooh fun!
A few of our group had to head out yesterday afternoon leaving us with 9. It’s amazing how much quieter things are when you are just missing a few. Their being gone could be felt. It was palpable!
This morning everyone else is headed out on their long drives back to South Carolina/Georgia.
It was a wonderful week, and we’ll see them back here next year!
Today for me: Laundry, of course! And flipping the house to get it ready for our next arrivals.
