I’ll be drawing for two lucky winners who will each win a Summer Picnic PDF pattern from me and a Paw Paw’s Shirts fabric roll from  Cotton to Quilts.

The Paw Paw’s Shirts roll is so cute and will enhance your own fabric stash!

And check out their selection of neutral cotton rolls to add more cute neutral prints to your collection.

Today?  Well, we had a raging thunderstorm roll through about 3am this morning – enough to lose power and have the generator kick on for about 15 minutes – enough to disrupt sleep and make it hard to fall asleep again.

If there ever was a day I’d be sneaking up to bedroom 5 at the retreat for a nap – today would qualify.
I also understand that one of the blinds off the back porch was totally destroyed in the storm, and is all over the ground below – just reported by Jeff by phone call when he arrived to paint.
So it looks like we need 3 new porch blinds and I’m sad because I don’t know if we can get the same wooden slatted ones anymore.  We’ll see.  Measurements will be taken and we’ll start looking.
More sewing will be happening with the retreaters, of course – but I don’t think today qualifies as a good day for a hike as things will be far too muddy.
I think it’s a low-key day to just let things unfold.  And that’s okay with me.

And this happened last night!
I finished stitching down the binding, hanging sleeve and label on Lahinch. I’m looking at this one as a September or October PDF pattern release.  I’m just happy its done.
How about your weekend ahead?
