It’s a good sign when your rotary cutter matches the project you are trimming up!
Every day there is a mail delivery, you can find me giddily bringing home squishy envelopes to open on the couch while we continue to celebrate the restful week in between Christmas in New Years by watching old favorites.
Yesterday it was Back To The Future, which never disappoints.
I know it so well that I can read all of the little notes inside each envelope and not miss a beat. Thank you so much for all of the gifted strip love!
The notes have been wonderful, and I’m so happy to know a bit more about YOU.  Where you are from, what these fabrics have appeared in, where you acquired them.

This batch is done!

I save the depapering for evening TV watching time, tucked into my recliner with a trash can resting between my knees.
When all of the paper is removed, I pin units in sets of 10 to easily keep count of how many I’ve made – and I’ve got them all!
I’ll be on to the next unit starting today – things are moving along!

And Lola is ready to help!

Yesterday was a 2 cat day – when Lola went downstairs for the night, a routine she decided that she herself could live with, look who came in:

The only reason she is in between my knees?  Hubster Dave was out at a corn hole tournament.
It’s evident that he is her chosen favorite person, and I’m okay with that.  Were he here, she would be in his lap getting pets, not mine.
And the reason?  Does it look like I’m here to give pets? Or are my hands too occupied for the required amount of petting to happen?

It’s fair to see why I am second choice.
I put the hexies down, and gave her what was required.
Where were the dogs at this time?  Mabel loves the bed that’s in the big crate.  It’s her safe cave spot.
Zoey was on the floofy pet pillow in front of the gas fireplace. All were warm and cozy.

And it was the perfect end to a day with a crazy change of plans:

Somehow, the temperature got pushed down on the QPO studio fridge just a bit too low and arrived this morning to two exploded cans of diet coke.
And yes, the coke had leaked out of the mini fridge, onto the floor…a big brown liquid mess.⁣
Cleaning out the fridge was on my to do list but it wasn’t supposed to be yesterday.
Evidently, the universe had other ideas, and so it was yesterday.
Of course, that led to not cleaning only the fridge, but all of the areas around the fridge, and the floor, and on to some shelves, and into the next area and….
Do you get this way too at the end of the year? I know it is supposed to be a “RELAX” week between Christmas and New Years – but the urge to clean all the things and start the new year off fresh is SO STRONG.
Maybe if I just set my mind to sitting behind my machine and get back to piecing, I’ll forget about all of that cleaning nonsense at least for one day?

Quiltville Quote of the Day –
Overslept. Now dealing with slow moving and much stiffness. ⁣
The will to get moving is strong.
The body doesn’t wish to obey.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone
