I’m so happy for wonderful weather! But I’m blown away that there are only 10 days left in May –
Someone slow this speeding train down, please!
This wonderful group of ladies headed home yesterday to places far and wide – some as far as Oregon. I’m so honored that they would choose to come back year after year and spend a week reconnecting with their group of friends made through our Quiltville’s Open Studio Group on Facebook.
We have 13 retreat groups who have formed through membership in ourOpen Studio group.
Many only knew each other online before meeting in person at Quiltville Inn – and these friendships are deep and long lasting. I just love seeing this happen!
If you, or you and a friend are not part of a group and would like to attend one of our retreats, I know there are some openings for next April.
Our Quiltville Inn retreat coordinator Rebecca Shumaker has some openings in our upcoming retreats.
We have loads of Quiltville Open Studio group newbies and we want to invite you to join us!
First – add yourself to the ONESIES list with all of your info at this link:
This is a Google Document and may work best from your desktop or laptop instead of your phone.
Second – head on over to our SEW READY QUILTERS group on facebook and join. This lets Rebecca know you are interested in joining a Quiltvillian retreat at Quiltville Inn.
Yes – you must be a member of BOTH Quiltville’s Open Studio and SEW READY QUILTERS for us to contact you.
Quiltville Inn discussions and details don’t happen here on our Open Studio page, but there is much planning and discussion of future retreats happening on Sew Ready Quilters.
We look forward to having you join in on the fun!
You, too, could be hanging your quilt over the porch rail!
The delicate pink of Mountain Laurel is blooming right on time for Memorial Day weekend!
I love the shape of these blossoms as they open up. 5-sided and cup shaped, dappled with dark pink dashes. So pretty!
This one is right along our driveway. I need to get out in the yard and see what else is about to bloom.
I truly do love this time of year!
Today we are welcoming The Quilters of the Night – finishing touches will happen to make sure the house and porch are ready for the long holiday weekend ahead.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the marvelous response to our Summer Picnic

Quiltville Quote of the Day

I pulled this from my Facebook memories from 12 Years ago! It’s still a good one!
