Friday Fun Day!

Doesn’t this look like the best kind of morning?

Grab some hand stitching, a coffee, come pull up a rocking chair on the porch and sit, stitch and enjoy the morning with your quilty friend!

This was the scene as I walked up the front steps yesterday morning to find that while some had gone to the park in search of ponies, others had taken a road trip to the quilt shop leaving only 4 quilty souls unsupervised at the retreat house.

Sounds perfectly relaxing, doesn’t it?

And I was mistaken on the name of the pattern – I thought it was “Nebula” but it’s “Gravity” By Jaybird Quilts.

The music themed quilt is growing!

And don’t laugh at me for thinking that these fireworks blocks bring to mind “Sky rockets in flight…Afternoon delight…” LOL!

As for me, give me a perfectly roasted marshmallow all by itself and I’m a happy girl.

And a bit of Mabel hoping that some will drop to the ground, just for her!

It was a fun filled day and I was exhausted by the time we went home and headed straight to bed. No hexie stitching last evening. No progress made there.,

But tonight? I’m planning on stitching until I finish adding that diagonal row.

The binding is on my Old Town little quilt and I’m ready to move on to stitching that down during evening handwork time.

Saturday? Mid retreat laundry day for washing all towels, washcloths and kitchen linens.

And more sewing! It’s a toss up between the blue strings, or back to those bazillion flying geese.

Our Abbeygate release was a hit! I’m so thrilled to hear that so many of you have been setting your scraps aside with this quilt in mind and I can’t wait to see what you do with this one.
