Easing Back In –
Progress is happening – but it is moving so slowly that I was a bit disheartened when I laid my completed units out…Didn’t I have more than this already?
Maybe this will just be a table runner and I’ll call it done! LOL!
Who am I kidding….It’s the perfect travel project, and since I NEED to have a travel project, I’ll just keep plugging away on it until who knows…maybe lap size? We shall see.
I’m looking at the units at the far left – those are the ones getting aqua around the outside. The smaller units on the right are the fill-ins and still need a few more neutral hexies added…I was working by memory and when I laid them in there, they were a few hexies short of a unit.
Another reason for the laying things out – My travel documents arrived while I was away for my quilty upcoming trip to England! I’ve got a group of 28 on this trip, and I am so excited to be visiting England during the holiday lead up.
I need something to jump start me into feeling festive. Since the hurricane and Dave’s injuries due to being hit by a falling tree…every day has just been a day to get through. The last 6 weeks have truly been a blur.
Craftours sent this cute festive back pack and a luggage handle to identify our suitcases, and I’m ready to go.
Speaking of that – did you know we are headed to Iceland in June? I would love to have you join me. And yes, spouses, friends, siblings, adult children are welcome. No, they do not need to be a quilter!
We’ve added France and the quilt show in September of 2025, Germany/Austria Christmas Markets in December of 2025, Morocco in January 2026, Romania in June 2026, and India in September 2026. It’s a great line up and I am looking forward to all of these.

So travel project? I’m going to stop counting blocks/units and just keep sewing!
No, I just snuggled in and enjoyed the feeling of being home.
Yesterday’s catch up day was not terribly exciting. But I can say that mail order was the main focus, while laundry ran at the retreat in the background.
Today my to-do list includes getting Moonflower ready to release tomorrow!
It feels like everything is coming down the pike in rapid-fire fashion –
Our Old Town mystery Part One posts one week from TOMORROW! Egad!
And I still need to knock out the kits for my England group, and get the pattern written and sent off to my Australia group.
It will all come to pass, one thing at a time…and there is time to do it.
That red/neutral holiday quilt I have been planning and started on? It may wait a few more days (or weeks) before I can truly get back to it, but it’s there waiting for me.
So, hello Thursday – what’s up on deck for you today?
Quiltville Quote of the Day –
