Where can duvets be recycled? I have tried local vets and the Dogs Trust, but no one wants them. (Surely duvets must be bad for the environment compared with wool or cotton blankets?)

You are right: many duvets are made with synthetic fibres, so are not environmentally friendly when it comes to disposal. One solution is to contact animal charities, as duvets make excellent bedding, so you were quite right to try there first. I have been in touch with the Dogs Trust and it seems that your local branch doesn’t have the space to accept donations at the moment. This may not be the case in a few weeks, so it would be worth trying again then. Lack of storage
