Bye Bye, Bonniacs!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
We caught the sunshine!
I’m so glad we did – the weather has been doing what late November weather does – it plays both sides of the coin from sunny to cloudy to rainy to frosty –
The side porch at Quiltville Inn faces West – so we are deeply in need of that late afternoon sun this time of the year to not have everything on the porch in shadows.
And then there is the wind…which was luckily at bay on this day.
And just look at this wonderful array of quilts!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
A terrifically scrappy Snail’s Trail inspired by my Rockabilly Swing quilt, a T-shirt quilt, a 16-patch rainbow quilt with selvage sayings. (This was SO CUTE!) and a beautiful Grassy Creek finish!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!

I love it when two quilters work on one project together!  Look at how this is coming together!
Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
It was fun watching design walls fill up through the weekend.

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
It was also fun pulling the gold centers for these nine-patches from my own stash when the quilt just needed “something.” HAPPY!!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
Lime green and navy!  Yum!!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
Ready to join rows!

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
Another coming together.

Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
But we are starving!  Let’s break for lunch!
And how about some treadle lessons?

Well done, ladies!
One of the big “yahoo!” moments for me was when Laura (upper photo above) exclaimed that she needs a treadle machine, and she needs it NOW!
Santa-Bonnie told her if she was serious, there was one that needed a home in the garage, brought up from the Wallburg house.
We loaded it up in the van ono Sunday evening, and last night it was home being unloaded in Indiana – many happy treadling hours to come, Laura!
It’s also a momentous day for the Hubster and me – today we close on the Wallburg house.  It will belong to its new owners as of 3pm this afternoon.
It’s done.  They are happy.  We are happy. It’s all kind of surreal how fast and how smoothly everything went once it went on the market.
Oh, what a load off!
Thanksgiving is 2 days away.
There is so much to be grateful for!
Have you started cooking your Thanksgiving feast?  Are there family favorites that you MUST serve on Thanksgiving?
I am missing my dad yet again this year.  He is going to my sister-in-law’s for Thanksgiving where he will see all 5 of his grandkids (And their kids!) from that side.  That makes me happy.
He will then head up to my brother Scott’s in Idaho for Christmas.  And I plan to head to Phoenix at the end of January so we can celebrate our birthdays together.
Bye Bye, Bonniacs!

Quiltville Quote of the Day –

In this crazy life there is one thing that anchors me. I need to stick with love.
I believe quilting and our love of quilting gives those of us who DO quilt an opportunity to see beyond the differences we see everywhere.
It gives us a “Common Thread” and a deep understanding that crosses boundaries. ⁣
Let’s focus on that.
I’m grateful for our Quilty Abundance!
Bye Bye, Bonniacs!
