And The Quilters Keep Quilting!

I love the photos I can get of “Quilter’s Still Life” when sewing stations are left vacant for whatever reason –
Maybe someone is up to go get a snack, or take a shower, or even sneak off for a nap.
These empty seats with all of the details left in plain view of what had been going on when the chair was occupied and the machine was humming.
It doesn’t take much to put the pieces together, does it?
And here is the progress on the design wall behind – A Unity quilt and a Bitcoin being used as a Leader/Ender in progress – and I love the colors!
This was a block of the month sampler that is finding its way to completion – up to the borders!
How wonderful is this?!
The alphabet in American Sign Language, embroidered by a mom in the 1990s who has since passed, finally becoming a quilt put together by a daughter who is working through so many memories while she works on it.
Fun thing about the embroidered hands I”m not sure if you can see – but the button on the cuff at the wrist gives the letter of what is being signed.
There are a couple of Indigo Way W.I.Ps being worked on – Even if they don’t come fully together because some fabric was left at home, we’ll get these pushed closer to finishing, maybe even sewn into rows!
Polish Pottery Inspired colors!
Every day items around your house can inspire a quilt color plan. In this case it was a collection of Polish Pottery that inspired the palette of green, blue, coral for this springy version of Old Town.
Another station with some Oopsie Daisie as Leaders & Enders on the wall.
What’s that on the machine bed? It looks like the sashings to Straits of Mackinac from String Frenzy.
Cute fabrics!
Lunch is served!
Or just about ready –
Irene provides lunches and dinners for her retreat groups, and this was absolutely delicious – some French Dip sandwiches with au jus and beautiful berry bowls!
And yes, we were using the “GOOD” china – because we deserve it!
I also have a share from “another” retreat – this one in Flathead Lake, Montana shared by Kelly!
