And All that Zazzle!

And All that Zazzle!
And All that Zazzle!
Did you know?
Every year my friend Forest Jane creates our wonderful mystery badges. I send her some images of the quilt, and away she goes –
And then she goes one step further.  She places the logo on things that are useful and needful in our Quiltville Zazzle Store – marking items at the LOWEST possible profit margin, and then thanks to your purchases, all proceeds go to benefit those in need – from children to adults, in giving them the gift of creativity.
The funds raised have gone to everything from fabric, to batting, yarn and more.  It’s been a different year with Covid, classes at the Library where Forest Jane teaches have been impacted by everything that we all have dealt with, as you can imagine.
And All that Zazzle!

I am looking forward to the day when classes are back in full swing!

For more info on what this program provides, click to read THIS POST.
So, without further ado,  I am pleased to present our Grassy Creek logos, straight from the creative force of Forest Jane!

(Shown as 600 on this page because 800 is too big.)
Click the photo and the full size should open on the next screen.
I have also added a “grab my button” that you may copy the code in the box and post it in your blog side bar to show that you have participated in our Grassy Creek mystery!
When you visit the Quiltville Zazzle Store remember that you can add our logo to ANY item you wish, not just the ones that are shown.  If there is something that you are looking for let Forest Jane know and she can upload the item for you.

This has been my view over the weekend!

And there is still much of this left.
And yes – the drive is THAT STEEP!
And All that Zazzle!
This was us – going down to check on Lola at the QPO.
With this much ice, my all wheel drive van would not be able to make it back up – so we took Dave’s 4WD pickup.
I took this video of our climb back up the steep drive on our way back.  Click to Play:

We had a bit of a thaw yesterday – I can now see the edges of the grass and I hope that I can get down the drive and get on with my Monday.

Yesterday’s sunrise through the icicle on the rain chain.
And All that Zazzle!
As the temps rose, the weight of the icicle broke it away from the chain – it was SO ODD!  This is right outside the sliding glass door to my basement sewing room.  As I was at the cutting table cutting out block parts, I heard a big crash, turned around, and the whole icicle was on the ground in pieces.

This combo was making me happy as I stayed in warm and cozy.

After spending all of Friday and Saturday in the basement –
Yesterday I moved to the upstairs treadle for some company!

And All that Zazzle!
I blogged about this old UFO a few weeks back.
See the block on the couch?
I know now why it became a UFO.  The yellow triangles that frame the string pieced center were cut on the verge of “too small” for the block.  I can do it – but it is involving having to skimp on the seam allowance a bit to get the size block that I need.

Trimmed up string pieced centers!
I’m making these out of all the LITTLE scraps.
I really like projects that use the smallest of chunks at the tips like this.

I got this far this morning –
Before looking at the clock and realizing I needed to get a move on and write this post.
The pieces are at the machine – the goal is to sew ONE BLOCK A DAY until I have used all of the “nearly too small” yellow pieces and have enough blocks to turn this into something.
I really am glad I have been able to knock out some of the oldest UFOs in my studio over the past many months.
There are still a few “what was I thinking” projects that are on the back burner.  They may become table runners or hot pads. LOL.
So here we are at Monday – a brand new week ahead.  Anything fun in store in your near future?
The only “go to town” thing I have on my plate is a late afternoon chiropractor appointment tomorrow. Whoohoo.
In all seriousness – I’m grateful. That leaves me a lot of freedom to work on projects, to take care of mail order, to listen to podcasts, to dance to the oldies around my studio, and just be grateful that we are safe, warm, healthy and happy.

Quiltville Quote of the Day –
Thank you, C.S. Lewis! ⁣

Keep dreaming, keep setting and working towards those goals!
And have a wonderful Monday, everyone!
