Holiday fabrics never go out of style!
The ladies have gone out every night to watch the fireflies in the yard. They’ve been plentiful this year and it is so much fun to see folks enjoying the magic as evening falls.

As for me? I’m still (mostly) resting this ankle. Which means I sat and I sewed some more blocks on my main project, while working Four Patch Fun Leader & Ender blocks in between.
Both stacks of blocks are growing. I need to cut more of the main project blocks out.
It’s all good and productive!
I found what works best with this ankle brace thing.
These are my “go to the hot tub and back” sandals – they are that rubber foam stuff.
I found these to be more stable than the flip-flops I was trying to get by with as nothing else will fit over this brace thing shoe-wise.
The adjustable buckle will move over far enough to fit.
Never thought I’d want to be seen wandering around in rubber sandals, but there you have it, and at least it is summer so I can.
Did I mention that I cut off the foot on a pair of tube socks so that I could cushion myself from all of the Velcro and gromets and seams? Works like a charm.
