Spring! FINALLY!

Not only are these ladies busy making beautiful things, but they have a collective base of knowledge that helped Shirley get the stray and stuck piece of thread out of her bobbin area on her Featherweight so she could keep sewing!

Projects and finishes are wonderful, but the friendships built quilter-to-quilter is the most precious of all.

I have a top center finish!

I have not done my stay-stitching around the outside edge yet to keep seams from popping open, but I’ll do that in due time.

All of that pin matching of points wore this girl out, but it was worth it!

I’m planning on borders, and I know what I want to do – but I need to make a few samples first and see if my idea will pan out.

Purrrrfection!

I’m planning on a narrow inner border first to float the center and give eyes a place to rest. I found this in the stash and have enough of it to showcase here.

I think Lola would agree. Here she is posed on top of the treadle machine because the Roomba was going in the studio. LOL!

Zoey’s escapade to the Emergency Vet got here there just in time. Her case of Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis was not as severe as Mabel’s because we knew what it was and we caught it early.

I have no idea how she got it, It’s not supposed to be contagious.

At any rate – after receiving IV treatment she is on antibiotics and probiotics to get her gut health back to what it should be.

Can we please pause the vet bills for a while?
