We got out for a bit of a stroll along the waterfront in Vancouver – even on a chilly, rainy day there were moments we could grab.
Of course there are the driving instructions coming from my son as I maneuver his precious car through the city.  Never mind that I’ve been driving for 45 years – you’d think that I was taking a driver’s ed course at this point.
But we are having some fun!

We just had to be back by dusk as you know, I’m not licensed to drive at night. This doesn’t mean I’m blind or a bad driver! But knowing my son worries about me as much as I worry about him swells my heart.

At this point the rain had stopped, it was cool but not cold, and we even stopped by a local place for some ice cream.

Not your traditional flavors mind you – but things like Parker House Rolls with Buttercream, Maple Koginut Squash with Pomegranate, Turkey stuffing & Cranberry Sauce?
Don’t get me wrong, I love holiday flavors, but I felt safer with the Cranberry Orange Sorbet.

Jason tires easily – understandably s0.  I took this photo where I was stitching hexies while waiting for him at his doctor’s appointment.
The doctor’s recommendation was to leave the stitches in place for another 10 days and while a bit disappointed, it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Healing is slow…but any amount of slow progress is still progress after a craniotomy.
We still don’t have pathology results.  The second opinion has now sent the tumor off to a third opinion.
Jason was always special in that way!
While he napped I was able to get out for a walk in between the rain bursts.

Rainforest climates leave ever-present moss. Wherever it can grow it will.

While Jason napped I went wherever the sidewalk would lead me –

It’s okay slow kitty, I’m a slow person too!

Some Halloween decor remains.  Hi, my guy!

I loved this Beetlejuice scene! Those worms! (Where do they store these when it’s not Halloween??)

More hexie stitching has been happening.  A lot of hexie stitching has been happening.  I’m up early, trying to let Jason sleep.  I still haven’t adjusted to the time zone change along with Fall Back an hour, but I enjoy the quiet.

I brought my tablet so I could watch some Britbox with my headphones while trying to keep things quiet for him.

If I get this motif finished I’ll be able to lay out this diagonal row and start sewing things together.

Yes, I brought the whole mothership with me as well as ordered a task light from Amazon to be delivered to him so I could have light to stitch by.

More progress on that tomorrow. I think I’ll have that row together.

In the meantime:

Quiltville Quote of the Day –

This is only partially true. It also comes from sleeping in beds that are not my own and from breaking away from normal routines.

I wouldn’t change this time with him for the world.
Have a terrific Thursday, everyone –
