So Freezing Cold!

Saturday our temps never left the 30s. It was freezing!
I don’t know if you can see it, but if you look closely you will discover that our quilts are plastered against the porch rail due to the wind.
How fast can we do over-the-porch-rail photos? About 5 minutes before numbness set in. LOL!
So pretty!
Those working on applique and other small items felt like they didn’t have enough to show – but we wanted it all to be in there, so you’ll see some small projects in progress being held.
This lovely 1930s quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted, and I adore the yellow background. So fun for spring!
Yes, those smiles are frozen into place! LOL!
The Medallion at left is designed by Tara Miller of The Quilt District and stitched by Pam!
And there is quite a bunch of wind action happening here!
The action shot of the Bee Wild medallion is a 6 month Block of the Month by Sherri Noel.
I am loving these smiles!
We had TWO Old Town finishes by two sisters this week – and I love that they are both a bit different!
Another gorgeous medallion quilt by Sherri Noel (in right quilt corner!) Her website Rebecca Mae Designs is found HERE.
Yeah, baby – it’s cold!
But this chill offered up great photos!
Thank you, Quilt District!
What an awesome week!
Some photos were taken inside – just beacause!
Can I just say that I really love my job? And these ladies!
I’ll have a bit more tomorrow – and a video to share of our Quilt Turning on the bed up in bedroom 5.
Some of the group had to leave yesterday because you know – JOBS on Monday. We had two school teachers and I just know that they are awesome with their students.
The rest will head back toward Atlanta today, and it will be another year until I see them again.
Except for Tara! I’ll be crossing paths with her in September.
I’m taking a Craftours group on an adventure through Germany and Switzerland ending up at the big quilt show in Alsace, France at the same time that Tara is teaching there. We are making plans for a big meet up.
Carrefour tickets for the show in Alsace will be live in a few days. Link HERE.
Find out more about our Craftours Tour HERE. I’d love to have you join us! I’ve also added a tab for this tour to the top of the blog. You can also click the All My Tours tab to see where we will be heading in the future.
And what else? Oh yes! There are still a couple of days left in this Gift-Away:
I will be drawing for ONE lucky winner who will receive BOTH of these adorable Summit St. Boxes AND the Fabric Floozy Tee!
Get your entry in on that post and we’ll be drawing for our winner on Wednesday 4/16/25.
With folks checking out today, you just know that my day will be filled with 12 loads of laundry and all that comes with resetting the house after a fun week of retreat.
BUT! I can take it slower. I’m officially on spring break. With Easter happening this coming Sunday, there isn’t a retreat scheduled this week.
And perhaps it will warm up a bit and I can get some hikes in? I’d really like that.
Quiltville Quote of the Day –
Okay, I admit it – I am deep into a new project I started last week and I can’t stop thinking about it!
I’ll be working on that over the next week of my spring break, too.
What’s up for your Monday?
