Quilty Pleasures at Quiltville Inn!
There is a lot of quilty fun happening in the Quilting Quarters at Quiltville Inn this week!
They may be a small group, but they are MIGHTY!
Celeste and her quilting buddies from Haymarket, Virginia are here – and their number totals 6, but let me tell you – they brought enough projects and food for 12, and could last 2 weeks! LOL!
Their small number enables them to spread out and really get some serious sewing done!

Making the holiday version of this cute table topper by Carried Away Quilts.
Cute and quick hourglass blocks are becoming:
A sweet top with a piano key border!
25-Patch blocks made long ago by mom are turned into trimmed and appliqued circles, sashed with more blocks to become this top – and….
The remaining blocks became this lap quilt with scrappy square sashings!
There are new quilters in the group who are learning all of the beautiful basics! Cute cute Pickleball fabric!
Now just waiting for borders!
A wonderful beginner project.
Another valuable project for beginners – a Rail Fence from a Jelly Roll. It’s a wonderful way to learn about cutting and seam allowances and unit size. Great job! Keep going!
A man-child’s memories in Power Ranger shirts and pajamas –
Becomes a quilt top of childhood memories now that he is in his 30s.
I know it brought a lot of memories while she was working on these saved clothing items from so long ago.

Evidently this is a VERY long term UFO – everything had been cut and kitted up and luckily the baggies were labeled with what was what…now the puzzle of figuring out how things go so they can be sewn.
Isn’t it great the projects and fabrics have no expiration date?
Though it is a wonder that some fabrics were even printed. LOL!!

What’s going on here? I’ve exhausted a good selection of the neutral cut off triangles I was using to stitch my sawtooth sashings.
Remember when Tumblers was our Leader & Ender challenge of the year?
Evidently I cut WAY more than was necessary for my project (Which is still found under the Free Patterns tab.) and this is a great way to use them.
I can get TWO triangles out of each tumbler, and since I am paper piecing, it just works.
More progress.
I counted everything yesterday and I only have about 80 more to make.
I don’t know whether to cheer or cry. LOL!
Okay, okay – I’ll take my own advice and stop focusing on the number of pieces and just keep sewing.
It’s going to be awesome….it just is starting to feel “Haven’t I made enough of these already yet?” vibes.
But it will be worth it. Right? RIGHT?!
